Mudd Of Iconix
Iconix Brand Group is a brand management company that licenses brands to retailers and manufacturers primarily in the apparel, footwear, and apparel accessory industries. Its brands are available in such stores as Kohl’s, Kmart, Sears, Macy’s, Mervyn’s, Target and JC Penney.
The company began as Candie’s, Inc., whose brand it purchased in 1993. The Bongo brand was purchased in 1998. The Badgley Mischka brand was purchased in 2004. The Joe Boxer and Rampage brands were acquired on July 22, 2005 and September 15, 2005, respectively. In 2006, the company acquired the mudd, London Fog, Mossimo, Ocean Pacific brands on April 11, August 29, November 1, and November 6, respectively.
Among its many acquisitions, the mudd brand can be considered as its most unique one. This is because the brand is one of the many clothing brands that became popular not only because of its fashionable trends of design, but also because of its cost. The mudd clothing line sells some of the cheapest clothing line around while still maintaining its top quality styles and fashion.
Mudd or Mudd Jeans is a brand of jeans that markets to young girls, teenagers, and women. Like any normal jeans brand they come in white Khaki, black, and blue. They also have a wide variety of products other than jeans including purses, and shoes.
The Mudd brand became popular in 1995 when they introduced their affordable flare-leg jean which was a popular style at the time. Today, the brand has expanded to include shoes, intimates, eyewear, bags, hats, and jewelry as well as a wide array of clothing products.
Because of the brand’s huge popularity all over the US, it was quickly discovered by one of the biggest brand management group, Iconix Brand Group. In 2006 mudd was bought by Iconix Brand Group who owns various fashion and home brands. Under new ownership Mudd has continued to expand their brand and has introduced “Mudd Girls Move the World” which features real girls and their stories about helping out in their community.
Mudd products can be found in the United States at Kohls, JC Penney, Sears, Shoe Dept., Mervyns, Famous Footwear, Bealls, Bon Ton, Carson Pirie Scott, and Stage. Mudd is also available in Panama and Mexico.
