Iowa state fair grounds liquidation sale?
I live in iowa obviously. There’s big sale for electronics at the fairgrounds and I need lots of new stuff! My parents have gone on those kind of sale before. But that was only when we lived in Chicago. My dad has the impression that it’s not all on sale. He said it’s a scam. He said there maybe only one computer thats $100 or a camera thats $9 and everything else is regular price. Is this true? I want to go and get some electronics that I need but he thinks it a bad idea. So i want to know is it a scam or is my dad just bad at finding cheep stuff? Plz Help!
btw: this goes on every year and lots of people go there. so im a little confused.
The sales that I’ve been to, where an outfit comes in and rents some big public building or something, have all been pretty much scams. I have to admit that your dad is right. All the cheap stuff was just that, CHEAP. Even at the low prices they were charging it was over-priced. If you buy any of this stuff and it breaks right away where will to get it replaced or repaired? They say you can but how do you know you can. They won’t be around if you try to get something repaired and the repair center is gone as well. They have a small amount of good stuff and it’s pretty much regular retail. I’ve seen this in electronics, tools, home furnishings, you name it. It can all be a big scam. They want people to buy before they think about it.
