How long does a temporary British Passport to be issued in India?
My British passport was stolen from my bag in Delhi train station yesterday. I have reported in to the police and have gotten a police report from them. I am going to the high commission today. My flight was for 1.45 this afternoon so i know i am not going to make it but i really want to go home. Does anybody know ho long it takes for a new one to be issued. They said up to 0 working days but has this happened to anyone before? How long did it actually take?

UK embassy is very efficient and they will issue a travel document for u immediately,if they r satisfied with the whole scenario and ur tickets,documents etc.
once u r back in UK ,u can apply for passport
