i have found a strange coin?
I have found a coin slightly in the ground. I have looked it up but with no success. It has a diameter of about 15mm and 1mm thick. It has ny at the top and a spikey pattern round the edge. It looks like the colour of a old 1p coin but much smaller. Too dirty to see pattern on heads or tails, and its not a half penny. Really bugging me, please help.

try contacting someone involved in the portable antiquities scheme in your area look at http://www.finds.org.uk/ it’s a scheme set up to help archaeologists register finds across the UK that have come from metal detecting, gardening, etc or like your one just found by chance. they usually have meetings now and then where people bring in what they’ve found and the local archaeologist will identify it, record it photograph it and enter it into a database. if it’s worth something they can help you get some payment for it, but don’t expect too much! good luck.
