Why is Abraham Lincoln on the penny?
The penny…sucks. So doesnt he deserve to be on a more valuable coin?
Like why is Ben Franklin on the hundred when George Washington is on the 1 dollar bill?
Abraham Lincoln was actually a very modest man, and when asked by a reporter which denomination of money he would like to be placed on, he replied that if he must, he would wish to be on the “most inconsequential of coins” possible.
Thus, the Lincoln penny.
