Who does Randy Jackson of Idol think he’s fooling?
bass player Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith were fired from the band Journey for musical and professional differences.Studio musicians WERE HIRED to fill the two vacant slots, and play the music from already written music charts including future Idol judge Randy Jackson, all he was..was a vacant slot filler he had no “artistic” input he was no more a member than the microphones recording the music were.
I don’t even watch the show but, he’s actually a pretty accomplished bass player and producer. Journey has not been his only gig. He has produced , recorded or played with Mariah carey, Madona, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Nsync, and Destiny’s Child (along with Journey). He’s a Grammy winning producer, and has worked on over 1,000 gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums. In the music world he’s kinda a big deal. American Idol sucks, but I think Paula is the one that has no business judging anything. She’s a freeking former Laker Girl, choreographer who had a few crummy hits in the late 80’s.
