Having trouble setting up my bass guitar.?
I recently got a new bass off ebay and its mint, but it needs setting up. I have read how to set it up but moving the bits on the bridge up and down to change the length of the string to get the 12 fret octave in tune. However it seems to make no difference. Any help please? Do i need some special equiptment?
try using a tuner to compare the notes… the pitch differences may be subtle, but still very important. Also try raising the bridge/string height too… strings being too low can be bad.
