Questions on the Statue of liberty?
Anyways I’m doing a project on New York and the activities to do there, and I was wondering is there a cost to walk up the Statue of liberty? And the cost of the boat to cross the water? And are the tourist to give a tour of the statue Again whats the cost?
And one last question,
What is the address of the Statue of liberty?

First of all, admission to the Statue of Liberty is completely free.
What you pay for is the ferry ride over. That costs around $20 for adults and a little over $17 for seniors or children.
However, if you want to go to the “crown” you must obtain a “crown” ticket. This is provided to a certain number of people each day by the ferry operator when you buy your ferry ticket. (They have been trying to control the amount of people who enter the crown, that’s why.) If you can’t get a crown ticket for the day you go, you can only see the pedestal which is a few stories tall.
The same ferry that takes you to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty, also will take you to Ellis Island, if you choose to get off there. Ellis Island is the place where millions of immigrants first set foot on American soil and were processed through immigration services to enter this country (till the late 1930s.)
There are no activities on Liberty Island except seeing the Statue, and a gift shop. (There may be a film of some sort these days, as the National Parks Service is big on films lately.)

Well, I’m sorry to tell you that “Native New Yorker” has the cost of the ferry wrong, but it’s not his fault. He seems to have gotten his info from the Federal Government website that gives info on the Statue. However, I guess they haven’t updated their info in quite some time.
The government website he was using advises you to click on the one ferry company that is allowed to take people to the ferry. (This is a “concession” meaning they have been granted the right to make money doing this by a higher authority, and probably pay something to the federal govt. for this exclusive right.) When you click on the link to this ferry company’s website, you get the same page where I found my info, which clearly states the prices as I set them out above.
I have no idea why the government website has them listed so much lower. The only thing I can think of is that those were the old prices, and they just haven’t updated the site in a LONG time!
